Hawk Grooming Itself In Our Backyard

A pair of Hawks started nesting in our backyard over a month ago. We watched as they gathered sticks and built their nest. About 3 weeks ago they laid eggs and started staying in the nest full time, with one or the other going off to forage for food or more material for the nest. They have been a joy to watch and photograph. We are looking forward to the babies hatching soon.

This one just happened to perch on a branch near our bedroom window on a warm day when I had the windows open. He or she sat there for over 15 minutes grooming before flying away.
